Step One – Roof Assessment

Firstly, your roof needs to be carefully assessed to identify any damaged areas. This will require a walkthrough of your roof, checking every point for signs of damage.

Generally, damages will be in the form of cracked or broken tiles, or damaged metal sheets from hail damage or fallen tree branches. We will also identify old tiles in danger of breaking or leakage. Locating the source of the leak is crucial. Photos are taken of damaged points to be efficiently fixed during the repairs.

The roof assessment process may take an hour or more, depending on the size of your roof. Given that roof restoration may only be done once in five or ten years, it is perhaps one of the most critical phases of roof restoration.

Step Two – Roof Cleaning

The next step is to wash out the roof with a high-pressure hose to remove years of dirt, grime and debris from your roof. It is important to ensure that the gutters are also cleared and clean. During the cleaning process, damaged points will become clearer as the dirt gets washed off. This is also a good time to check for roof leakages, as water runs over the roof.
